I did do the Wenatchee 1/2 mara......

Yes, I did do it,(the Wenatchee 1/2 mara) but it's been almost a month since I did. That's kind of sad that I haven't blogged about it until now. I really don't have an excuse. What can I say??
I did my usual time (around 2 hours and 35 - 40 minutes) and I felt good afterwards.  But the sad thing about this race was that I went to it all by myself and drove myself home.  My husband, kids, or other members of my family usually are involved with the races I have done in the past.
Jay was busy with a church thing - so he couldn't accompany me.
So at this one I really felt like I was on my own.  I even had a guy passing by take the above picture. (after the race)
I did see a couple people that I knew out of the 1000 or so people that were there... I was surprised that I didn't see more, since I had last year at this same race.
I guess that is why I haven't blogged about it.  I realize that it's not fun to be involved in these kind of things all by myself.  So now I'm wondering if I will do another race or just keep walking on my own because I like to. I guess if my kids bug me to participate in another one with them sometime, I will.
But no more seeking out these things on my own.  Okay, okay, enough said.
It's been a pretty busy month. I tend to find things that keep me busy.  I'm really grateful that I don't have to work at the Physical Therapist's as much anymore. I like my life as it is.
I've gone to Utah and Idaho twice in the last month. So it's been great to see the grandkids that much.  Since I went 3 1/2 months without seeing them!  That's toooooo long. They are growing so fast. The baby (Gwen) is turning 1 this week on the 18th.  Weston is 7 years old and finishing first grade. Analee is 5 years old and will be in kindergarten this fall.  And Kallista is 3 - and is finally poddy trained. They are all so adorable.  I will never get enough of them.  But I do wish I had the energy to do more with them when I am with them. I guess that is how most Grandma and Grandpas' feel.

I also got to spend some time with a dear old friend. (Elizabeth Cleverley)  She is from New Zealand. She was an exchange student (years ago) and lived with us (my Winters family) for a short time.  She has been so great to keep in touch with us and come visit us now and then over the past 30 years or so. She came to Salt Lake City a couple weeks ago and stayed with my parents there.  So I went down and spent a few days with her and them.  It was great. She really is an amazing person. I'll always feel close to her. It's so wonderful to have a friend like that  - that you can always feel comfortable with - no matter how much time has gone by between visits. Wow..... I feel very blessed right now.

Thanks, Sylvia. I might take you up on that! Sorry we couldn't make the wedding reception in SLC. I'm sure it was wonderful!
